Sundays at DPC
Information about Services impacted by Covid-19
From July 19th we’ll be kicking of in-person services again. They will be at 8:15am, 10:30am, 5pm and 7pm.
For those not yet ready to gather, our livestream will continue at the new time of 10:30am.
Can I visit if I’m new?
Yes, every service will have capacity for guests.
What to expect
While we all live in a Covid-19 world some things are going to be a little different. Just like every organisation that has people gathering at the moment, we’ll be working to the guidelines provided via health.qld.gov.au.
From where you enter the grounds and buildings, through to where you sit and stand, everything will be impacted. Look for the signs and markings to help guide you. Handshakes and other physical contact are not recommended.
Hand sanitiser will be provided, and it is expected everyone will apply this upon entering the grounds. After each service high-touch areas will be cleaned with disinfectant.
Tracking and Tracing
As part of stage three restrictions we’re required to keep contact details of everyone who comes for 56 days. This will include both regulars and guests. To ensure this is done correctly everyone will be required to check in as they enter. You may be asked for your email address and/or home address.
Each of our 4 services will be the same. They will feature a maximum of three songs, prayer, bible reading and a slightly shorter talk. There will be no offering collection during these services.
Whichever service you come to some bit will be live and some bit will be pre-recorded. This will vary from week to week.
Chairs will be marked for social distancing. Those in the same household may sit together. However, the requirement for the entire building is still 4sqm per person regardless of their living arrangements.
Before and After
Each building will be marked with entry and exit only points.
Each building will be marked with entry and exit only points. We might be used to easily going in and out of places we gather at. But, to support social distancing we’ll be asking everyone to enter the building upon arrival and exit only at the conclusion of the service.
After each service we will have pre-packaged biscuits, tea, coffee, and water available. It’s important we use our best efforts to maintain social distancing if we are to continue after service mingling.
All our kids’ volunteers have blue cards and have to complete compulsory PreSafe child safety training.
We’ll be running some kids’ programs with a few differences. Kids will need to have their details recorded for both Child safety and tracking and tracing purposes.
The cry room in the main building will be restricted to one parent with children at any given time.
The kids in primary school will be given an activity to take part in during the main Bible talk. They can start the service with parents and will have a moment to leave prior to the talk. Children will need to be collected immediately after the service.
Creche will operate for the entire service time. Please check our creche age children in prior to coming into the service. Creche children may be left until after parents have had a cup of tea or biscuit or collected straight after the service.
