Youth

Our youth group at Dalby Presbyterian is for high schoolers in Grades 7 – 12.

We meet on Thursday nights from 6:30pm-8:30pm. If you’re in high school, it’s the best place to get connected to our church family. We aim to have a good time hanging out together and hearing from God’s word. We want to build friendships that are centred on Jesus because we’re convinced he’s worth sticking with through high school and out the other side.

Most of the time we meet at at the church (which is opposite Coles) but there are nights when we are in different places. You’re welcome to just turn up but it might be a good idea to check in first and see what we’re up to for the night.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact our youth pastor Emily Andrews on 07 4662 5522 or at emily@dpc.cc.

Safety at Youth

To help families settle quickly into church and Youth, we’d love for you to complete a permission form. The purpose of this form is to help us care for high schoolers and keep them safe. You can fill out the permission form by clicking here. If you need help completing the form please speak with our Youth pastor or call our office on 07 4662 5522.

Communication with Youth

At Dalby Presbyterian Youth we want to partner with parents to see teens stick with Jesus through all of high school. Interaction during the Thursday night program plays its part in that but so does talking outside of that time.

We are aware however that we live in world where communication has been used in destructive and harmful ways. As we lead Youth, we want and must, lead in such a way that is safe for teenagers. Therefore, we want to be upfront about our interactions with your children, primarily for their safety but also for your peace of mind.

Part of this is having your permission to communicate with your child. Please complete our permission form here.

Child Protection Policy

Dalby Presbyterian, as part of the wider Presbyterian Church of Queensland, has a clear Child Protection Policy. We refer to it as PresSafe and it applies to our recruitment, training, and process management of all those who work with those under 18 in the church. This includes a mandatory reporting policy for all disclosures of abuse.

The church complies with the requirements of the Blue Card System and all those working with children in the church have a current ‘working with children Blue Card’. If you need to apply for an Blue Card (including an exemption or confirmation), please be in contact with our church office admin@dpc.cc.

All those working with children in the Dalby Presbyterian Church must also complete PresSafe Training as part of our process to keep young people safe. If you have any questions about our Code of Conduct or other Child Protection processes please contact us.

Our end of year breakup party this year will be a Christmas themed Progressive Dinner. We’d love you to come along. So that we have enough food and transport for everyone, please register here.
